Past photos will have to wait...hubby insisted on me working on current project. I can tell you for sure, if it wasn't for him, nothing would get done 100%. My current project is my sons room. I painted his room (when he was two) the cars theme:

Yes, I painted every square! Talk about a beating, but it came out cute. My son is now seven, and wants a big boy room. Since it's been five years, I can justify painting over those (very time consuming) squares. I was sad to see it leave, but excited to brighten up his room. He LOVES Legos, so that was his rooms inspiration. I definitely was not going to paint a theme this time. I wanted to be able to switch 'themes' without having to paint next time. I picked colors of the Lego blocks, wall color is gray with strips of red, blue and yellow. Painting is done!! Next, he wants a loft bed. After, what it seems, months of looking for a not so expensive loft bed, I found this
Loft bed. It comes unfinished. I thought this was great because I could do anything I wanted, until I started staining it. I usually do projects because I think I'm saving money...and sometimes I do. Sometimes it ends up costing more....then sometimes, I kick myself for not buying the more expensive, finished one :). The latter is one of those times. The wood has now been in my dining room for almost a month. Although, as of yesterday, I'm almost done!! Just to give you a picture of ALL the wood I'm having to stain....

Hopefully I'll be finished today with staining and have an updated (finished) picture in the next couple days.
